EFC-CDO Continues Mentoring Program for Teachers

With the aim to train and equip teachers in the Children’s Ministry, EFC – Cagayan de Oro embarked on a 2-day DVBS (Daily Vacation Bible School) Teacher’s Training last April 15-16, 2019. Over 32 teachers from JECPP Northern Mindanao EFC churches, including CDO, Lala, Mambayaan, Naawan, and Malaybalay joined the said training.

EFC-Tagum Triumphant for 25 Years

In this Church’s Anniversary, we coined a theme or hashtag ‘#cozwearefamily’. It speaks about all the tears, laughter, discouragement, rejoicing, defeat, and victories we experienced along the way as one EFC-Tagum City family.  The Lord has brought us this far and we are grateful today as we celebrate great blessings upon our church.  As one family, we reminisced on the journey that was started by the Lord.  We are celebrating His love together.

Remembering Pastor Nonito Ligaya (1949 – 2019)

His legacy and exemplary life will never be forgotten by his families and to the people whom his life has touched. EFC Malbang assures us that despite of the loss of their “shepherd” they will remain faithful in serving the Lord. 

Rev. Wee Challenges EFC Kidapawan for Mission

This was the challenge and declaration of Rev. Peter Wee, JECPP Senior Overseer and Regional Director of Southern Mindanao Region, as he shared the Word of God during the 8th Mission Sunday and Dedication of the new church building of Evangel Family Church- Kidapawan on March 24, 2019 in Purok Saguing, Makilala, Cotabato.

A Heartbeat for Missions

On February 24, 2019, Evangel Family Church, Cagayan de Oro celebrated Mission’s Sunday to prompt believers that we are called to actively spread God’s words whether we are the one who sends the workers through our prayers and financial support or we are the one who was being sent do the work of a missionary.

EFC DavOr Youth attend Leadership Training

Indeed, youngsters have energy, they are daring, their hearts are filled with visions of the future.   JECPP’s Davao Oriental Section acknowledged the need to empower the youth, as they are a valuable component in the Kingdom of God.  A Youth Leadership Training was organized on February 15, 2019 at Evangel Family Church – Mati City. Wherein 32 motivated youth leaders attended the said activity.

Sunday School: a refuge for children

The two-days equipping thoroughly includes learning new action songs, planning the activity of the learners, as well as arts and crafts. There was also a short teaching demonstration of the participants showing their methods on how to deliver a class for appropriate age level.

The Star of the Season

One of the great opportunities we have these days is to savor the Christmas season. Themed “There is a Star,” Evangel Family Church Cagayan de Oro celebrated its Annual Family Night last December 23, 2018. Everyone came with sheer excitement to celebrate Christmas together as a family. This event has also become a warm reunion where overseas members and guests of the families away from home are welcomed back.

EFC CDO gears up for double celebration

EFC- Cagayan de Oro was all geared up for a double celebration last December 26, 2018. It was the 1st JECPP’s Northern Mindanao Regional Bible Training Graduation and the Northern Mindanao Church Planters Year End Gathering.

Joy that lasts beyond holidays (EFC CDO’s “The Joy Project”)

“The JOY Project” aspired to give a jubilant Christmas party for kids and gift-giving for adults who are faithfully attending the Bible Studies every Sunday afternoon in various outstations. EFC-CDO desired to bring great delight to kids and adults by allowing them to experience the joy of knowing Jesus in the process. The church workers went to various outstation barangays such as Zone 8 Upper Canitoan, Nazareth, Indahag, Bolonsori, Calaanan (composed of four areas: Puli, zone 10, Pagatpat, Canitoan, and Duplex), and in Molugan, Misamis Oriental.
