Behind the Folds (Our Gifts Are for Others’ Benefit)

A wonderful yet rare opportunity arose when Sis. Pauline Tan from Singapore, together with her husband, Bro. Evans and daughter, Laura, came to visit EFC-Cagayan de Oro City on June 9, 2018. She is gifted in making Origami and some related crafts. Her daughter, Laura inherited her keen eye on crafts and props making as well.

Bringing Joy through Giving

EFC-CDO, together with the volunteer church planters of Barangay Lapasan, Calaanan, Indahag, and Nazareth, initiated “School Supplies Giving Program”.  They have been encouraged to organize this initiative every school opening on top of the church’s feeding program and community outreach. This annual labor of love has brought together not only volunteer church planters but church members as well. They put all efforts and resources together and gathered on June 3, 2018 to deliver the school supplies to the outstation kids.

DVBS still effective tool for evangelism

Over 140 kids from different barangays in Cagayan de Oro City were gathered for the much-awaited DVBS with the theme “One Way” at Evangel Family Church- CDO on May 22-24, 2018. It was a 3-day activity for children ages 7-14 years old wherein they learned and studied the Bible in a deeper way.

Two days of joyful experiences at Western Visayas Youth Conference

On May 22 and 23, 2018, some 124 excited young people from Iloilo churches were gathered in Living Spring Inland Resort at Dumangas, Iloilo. On the other side of the area, another group of young people who belonged to Antique section held a youth camp simultaneously with Iloilo section. They camped at Villamor Elementary School at Dao, Antique.

EFC-Marahan held 4th Tribal Family Camp

Evangel Family Church, Marahan, Marilog District was extremely excited to host the 4th Annual Tribal Family Camp slated on May 28-31, 2018.  The 3-day Tribal Family Camp was composed of different Evangel Family Tribal Churches in Marilog District.  Prior to the event, tribal EFC Pastors, leaders and volunteers would never mind walking kilometers in the blistering heat, with the goal of inviting their members to the said gathering.  Most of these members live deep in the high interior mountains with no roads.

BRO. CARLOS “Carling” FLORES: A LIFE PREPARED FOR GLORY

Bro. Carling Flores stayed in Pandan, Antique for 4 years until he arrived at a good old age.  During the course of time, his health weaken and eventually he was not able to walk and was immobilized for weeks. Until God called him in His presence at the ripe age of 74, he lived a fulfilled and productive life.
