“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” (Proverbs 19:21). This bible verse described the circumstances surrounding the long awaited church visit of Rev. Dr. Robert Lim, founding chairman of JECPP to EFC- Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
Truly, God never fails. In His appointed time, he sent his servant to personally minister to the brethren in EFC Puerto Princesa together with JECPP’s Spiritual Leaders on September 23, 2018. The visit encouraged the brethren as they have been desiring for a personal acquaintance with the person whose life God has used to plant churches in the Philippines which included them.
Rev. Lim poured out his heart, wisdom and counsel as he shared an anointed message about “The Power of Waiting Upon God” found in Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” He further elaborated on the Four Principles of Waiting Upon God.
First, that God will replace our weaknesses into His strength. Second, those whose hope is in the Lord will mount up his wings as eagles, soaring above his personal circumstances. Third, those who wait shall do supernatural things. And lastly, those who wait on the Lord will not faint and surrender. They will pursue righteousness and holiness. They will pursue the will of God, he concluded.
Like our Heavenly Father who embraced His children, Rev. Lim demonstrated his love through blessing each one with his prayers during the altar call. He inspired the brethren in their walk in the Lord. It was a memorable Sunday service for EFC Puerto Princesa. God’s love as a Father saturated the entire congregation.
The momentous day ended with a fellowship time over dinner together with the visiting team and EFC Puerto Princesa’s church leaders. Reminiscent of a family with no walls and barriers, everyone enjoyed each other’s company with laughter and cheer. Indeed, God faithfully rewards those who patiently waits for His divine time.
