Unfolding the year with thanksgiving, JECPP Northern Mindanao Church planters and volunteers met for its first Christmas gathering last December 29, 2016 at Stargate Resort, Cagayan de Oro City.

Pastors and their families came all the way from Malaybalay, Naawan, Manticao, Lala, Balingasag and Mambayaan to celebrate Christmas as one family. This is the first time for JECPP Northern Mindanao to hold a pastors’ fellowship as big as this to celebrate Christmas together.

The main purpose of the gathering was to give an encouragement to the outstation pastors and volunteers.  For years, they toiled for the kingdom of God to advance.  Whether it rains heavy or shines scorchingly, they faithfully carry on God’s work entrusted to them.  Nobody in that room would say that the mission field is easy, but everybody has stood and fought a good fight with God by their side all through these years.

At around 6:30 pm, Pastor Roberto Padinit led the praise and worship.  Before eating and sharing over a delicious meal, Pastor Andrew gave a short challenging message that “God wants us to love Him with all of our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves” (Matthew 22:37-39). Pastor Andrew highlighted the word “respect” in our relationship with God, spouses, children, and people under our care. Moreover, the message also was deeply enriched by Pastor Rowena when she stressed about living a life that honors and reveres God for who He is.

The volunteers, outstation pastors, kids and everyone had a meaningful time to unwind and be spiritually refreshed during the busy holiday season. All thanks to our caring leaders in the ministry!
