To broaden and deepen meaningful experience of the children in the Children’s Church, JECPP- Southern Mindanao gathered it’s Children Church teachers last October 27, 2016 for a Teacher’s Training at Evangel Family Church of Davao, Inc. Some 32 teachers from Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, SOCSKSARGEN, and Davao City heeded the call.
The training highlighted the importance of quality teaching, and that is to emphasize biblical principles in every lesson. Teachers are also encouraged to level up and develop a strong devotional life, to study and to be prepared at all times so they can answer the highly inquisitive children.
The event served as an avenue for teachers of various backgrounds to impart their experiences and learn from each other. The teachers were also given an opportunity to be exposed to new methodologies of teaching and learning. New styles of learning memory verses, story- telling and new methods of teaching children’s songs were taught as well.
More importantly, this gathering provided an effective support system and link between churches as they jointly prayed for the success of each ministry.
The said training was spearheaded by Rev. Peter Wee & Rev. Christine Wee, JECPP Regional Director for Southern Mindanao and conducted by Sis. Cecille Gacasan and Sis. La Donna Yap Children’s Church teachers of Evangel Family Church of Davao, Inc.
