The Church Planting Movement (CPM) Workshop is an undertaking aimed to equip church planters to transform communities with the Word of God. It is a special time to inspire and energize the workers and to help them through proper training. JECPP believes that church planters are endowed with gifts and it is through CPM that they will be built up in the Lord by developing their skills, increasing their knowledge of the Word and mentoring them to mature into Christ’s likeness.

To jumpstart the year, Rev. Jethro and Rev. Annaliza Novero of EFC Bauang, La Union hosted a CPM Workshop on January 15, 2019. It was participated by the full-time and volunteer church planters from various EFC Churches in La Union, Ilocos Sur, Nueva Viscaya, Benguet and Pangasinan.

JECPP’s Luzon Region Core leaders blessed the participants as the speakers of the workshop. Rev. Greta Tamayor of EFC Palawan began the series of lessons. She motivated the participants with her lecture entitled Guaranteed Success, followed by Rev. Jethro Novero who challenged everyone with his teaching entitled Moving Forward. Thereafter, Rev. Eddie Falla of EFC Mindoro shared an inspiring story on the Life of Gideon. Lastly, Rev. Domingo Galagata of EFC Batangas ended the teachings with a touching message about the Problems of the Hearts.
All participants were empowered by the experiences and testimonies of the Core Leaders. The passion to save one more soul for Jesus prevailed in their messages. All sessions and group discussions were focused to fulfill Christ’s commission found in Luke 14:23: And the master said to the servant, “Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.” This is the command of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who have heard the call to preach the good news must obey.

Certainly, church planting is tough but a rewarding work. The Word of God promises that our labors in the Lord are not in vain. Every person we have helped to discover the kingdom and every life we have ministered into wholeness are our eternal reward.
After the workshop, each participant was revived in their zeal to go and evangelize one person at a time and disciple them. Everyone was grateful for the opportunity given them to attend a life changing workshop. Touched by the power of God and filled with the Holy Spirit, everyone was now ready to fulfill the great commission.
