Guest Speaker Rev Peter WeeEvangel Family Church-General Santos City celebrates 10th Anniversary and Thanksgiving Celebration on November 29, 2015 themed “ Grateful at 10 ”. It was indeed a celebration of gratefulness unto God amidst both good and bad circumstances experienced by the church and the members.

Every member was filled with gratitude and excitement that even a 10- hour brown out on this particular Sunday could not hinder the celebration service. The stage decoration was a beautiful bohemian design using indigenous materials such as twigs and wooden farm boxes. The festival-inspired program highlighted the celebration that was packed with ethnic dancing. Bisaya songs were sung during praise and worship thus people could truly express their praise to God wholeheartedly.

Rev. Peter Wee, the guest speaker talked about “ The Yoke Destroyer “ from Isaiah 10:27. Every christian could be carrying yokes in his or her life, said Pastor Wee. These yokes are perhaps being negative, weak, poor, judged, mistreated or bitter. These yokes control us and aggravate discouragement, thus we are limited or unsuccessful in some or many ways. But Jesus came to destroy the yokes Satan inflicted on us. He came to set us free by carrying our burdens and nailing it to the cross. What a powerful message indeed. Rev. Peter Wee prophesied that in 2016 EFC Gensan will harvest what is being sacrificed the past ten years. We will get our pay back in full! Hallelujah! This powerful message moved the members to tears.

Pastor Albert and sister Jane received a plaque of appreciation from Pastor Wee for being faithful servants in 10 years. The church paid tribute and loyalty awards to the members who have been with the church for ten years. They are faithful and loyal members protecting the church amidst bickering and trials. Pastor Albert and sister Jane also received gifts from their loving members.

JECPP SOCSKSARGEN Section Pastors also came celebrate. Pioneering members and former members of the church also witnessed the goodness of God in the church. One said that “ grabe gyud ang pagpanalangin sa Ginoo sa simbahan no!“. Delicous buffet dinner was served and enjoyed by over 250 attendees. To God be the glory!
