Constant equipping and training of ministers facilitates church’s growth effectively and efficiently.  For this reason, JECPP’s Church Planting Ministry (CPM) in SOCCSKSARGEN Section brought together  20 church workers and CPM volunteers from EFC General Santos, EFC Koronadal, EFC Polomolok, EFC Malbang and EFC Sambag for a two-day Church Planting Movement Training in EFC-General Santos City on October 12 and 13, 2018. Rev.  Tony and wife Rev. Liza  Angelias, pastors of EFC Kidapawan and JECPP’s Southern Mindanao Deputy Regional Director, served as the speakers of the training.

The topics include: “NOT SPEAKING AGAINST GOD SERVANTS”, “WAYS TO HELP YOUR PASTOR”, and “THE EFFECTS OF GIVING”.  An open forum was incorporated in the afternoon session to encourage participants for a healthy discussion, which they gladly asked questions and were addressed satisfactorily by the speakers.

On the night of October 12, members of EFC Gensan were invited for a Revival Service together with the CPM Training participants. Pastor Tony shared about “THE SECRET OF GOD’S POWER”.  The Holy Spirit moved and stirred the hearts of everyone who hungered for His glorious presence.  One lady testified that during the service the Holy Spirit touched her and she began to speak in tongues again, she was not able to speak in tongues for 16 years.  Indeed, the presence of God brought breakthrough in the lives of the people who attended the Revival Service.

The following day, Pastor Liza shared about “FINISHING THE RACE”.  She showed an inspiring video about an athlete who continued running despite the obstacles on her way.  The video depicted about how she finished the race against all odds. It inspired the participants as it reflected the race that every Christian is facing every day.  Pastor Liza encouraged the church workers that a heavenly reward awaits every believer who finishes the race. The two-day CPM training in SOCSARGEN revived, renewed and refreshed every single participant.

Moreover, another CPM training was organized for the Davao Oriental JECPP’s Church’ workers on October 18-19, 2018 at EFC-Macambol, Mati City.  A group of 30 ministers from different EFC Churches in Davao Oriental gathered for the two-day training. Pastors Isaac and Anabelle Mendoza of EFC- Florida, Kapalong were the speakers of the said event.

On the first session, Pastor Isaac shared about the Heart of Jesus Christ to humankind- His grace and His mercy. He expounded the text in Luke 10 which he entitled “LUKE 10 STRATEGY”.  He emphasized on the passage that says “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few”.  He encouraged the participants to go out and share the good news about Jesus Christ because the end draws near. He further stressed, that in sharing the good news, it is vital to find the Person of Peace (POP).  According to him, the Person of Peace is the one God has prepared to receive the Gospel into a community for the first time.

The training included team building to bring Davao Oriental EFC ministers closer and to allow them to connect through fun activities. The games were strategically prepared to promote friendship, connection and bonding amongst fellow workers in God’s vineyard. The messages of the games explained that in order to win more souls, Christians need to connect to God and to his co-workers in the Kingdom. The activity emphasized that connection has the power to communicate and change the lives of people.

Pastor Annabelle shared about the importance of prayer in her session. She likened praying to breathing.  According to her, without prayers we are not breathing spiritually”, she further mentioned that prayer is one of the most important element in evangelism and that to have a deep and strong relationship to God, one must have a prayerful heart.

To conclude the two-day training, the group went out by pairs to conduct a house to house evangelism in the vicinity surrounding EFC Mati. The participants were excited to share the love of Jesus as they knocked on the doors of the residents.  Everyone came back with joyful and victorious reports and were very eager to win more souls for the Kingdom of God as they went back to their various churches.
