In Matthew 9, we can find a passage about Jesus going throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. We read that when he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

When Jesus saw the multitude of people with various needs, He was moved. From that time until today, He was looking for workers in the Kingdom who will look at people through His eyes of love and compassion, because it is only through His eyes that we can see the real spiritual condition of people. Undeniably, there is an urgent call to raise up laborers for the harvest.

JECPP Luzon Region recognizes the demand to prepare and equip church’s workers for the great harvest. For this cause, Rev. Jetro and Ptr. Ann Novero together with the region’s Core Leader Rev. Domingo Galagata, conducted a Church Planting Movement (CPM) Training last March 5-6, 2019 at EFC Padre Garcia, Batangas. A total of 20 passionate laborers in the Kingdom of God attended the said training composed of pastors, church leaders, cell leaders and church volunteers from EFC Mauban, Quezon, EFC Padre Garcia, EFC Taytay, Rizal and EFC Veterans, Quezon City.

The training was designed to promote interaction through open forum and question and answer session. Delegates were also given time to fellowship with each other through group activities and discussions.

Pastor Jetro shared a message entitled GOD MAKES HIS CHURCH GROW AND BEAR FRUIT. He emphasized that as a worker in God’s vineyard, we need to be DILIGENT, DEDICATED and FOCUSED. After his lecture, the delegates were given a chance to share their experiences and reflections for better understanding about the topic.

On the other hand, Pastor Ann shared about THE PROPER POSITIONS OF A TRUE SON. She shared that when we remain in our calling, God assures us of His blessing, His protection and His Inheritance. She ended with an encouragement that God’s servants should always desire to remain in their assigned places where God called them to serve Him so that they can receive all the benefits of being a servant.

Another objective that was being accomplished during the training was to encourage the pastors and leaders to have their own mission fund to support their cell churches and direct them to JECPP’s Church Planting’s mission and vision, which were responded positively by the delegates.

The training enlightened the participants. They were encouraged to be more faithful and committed to their calling. Praise the Lord for what He has done!
