More than 70 folks openly said ‘yes’ to the invitation to receive the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Talyak, Maasim, Saranggani Province. The place, home of many natives such as B’laan and Muslim, is west of General Santos City and a few kilometers away from the coastline.
The Talyak barangay basketball court was the venue where more than 200 people coming from nearby barangays heard the good news. The evangelistic crusade was a team-up of JECPP SOCSKSARGEN churches aimed to open more churches in the area.
Around 6:00 PM last August 19, the crusade was opened with a meaningful skit “KALIPAY”, a quest for real joy. The salvation of God was shared by Pastor Nonito Ligaya. EFC-Gensan led the anointed Bisaya Worship songs that touched the heart of God and the people in the place. EFC Gensan Creative Arts also ministered to the people through different dance interpretations and a comical skit. EFC Sambag and Malbang rendered song and dance numbers. When churches unite to glorify Jesus, He indeed draw men unto Himself. Praise the Lord!
