Padayon: A Journey of Faith, Love, and Renewal

By: Pas. Micah Lalugan

The JECPP Evangel Family Church Del Norte Family Camp 2026 stood as a deeply meaningful and refreshing gathering, bringing together families, leaders, and members for a time of growth, connection, and spiritual renewal. Centered on the theme “Padayon,” which means to move forward and persevere, the camp faithfully fulfilled its purpose of strengthening both faith and relationships within the body of Christ.

The first day commenced with the arrival of delegates, each carrying a sense of excitement and eager anticipation. The opening session, led by Pastor Bing, focused on “Gugma” (Love). He emphasized that love must remain the foundation of everything within the body of Christ. He reminded everyone that if there is anything they ought to owe one another, it is love—a Christ-centered love that is evident in both actions and relationships.

This was followed by an open forum, where members were given the opportunity to express questions and share concerns within the church. It became a meaningful moment marked by transparency, unity, and mutual understanding. In the afternoon, participants engaged in team-building activities that cultivated cooperation, joy, and deeper connections among the delegates.

The evening service featured a powerful message from Pastor Greg entitled “Don’t Look Back, Look Forward.” Drawing inspiration from the life of Ruth, he illustrated how, despite her past and humble beginnings, she became part of the lineage of Jesus Christ. His message served as a profound reminder that when individuals choose to follow God, they are fully embraced into His family—where barriers are broken and grace is extended without limit.

On the second day, Pastor Isaac spoke about the significance of church planting and its vital role in fulfilling the mission of spreading the Gospel. His message inspired everyone to actively participate in advancing God’s kingdom and to embrace a vision that reaches far beyond the local church.

The camp concluded with a compelling message from Rev. Peter Wee titled “Pursue, Overtake, and Recover All.” He shared three powerful reminders: first, that emotions are a gift from God and must be acknowledged; second, that everyone needs a companion, as encouragement often comes through the simple presence of a friend; and third, that a renewed faith is essential—a fresh trust in God that empowers believers to keep moving forward.

Indeed, the Lord moved mightily throughout the entire camp, leaving every participant strengthened, uplifted, and spiritually renewed.

As the camp drew to a close, one message echoed clearly in every heart: Padayon. Keep moving forward, remain steadfast, and continue trusting in God. The Family Camp 2026 was not merely an event, but a powerful reminder that in every season of life, God faithfully provides exactly what is needed to continue the journey.
