On November 29, 2024, Evangel Family Church Florida commemorated its 20th anniversary with a jubilant celebration. The church thrummed with activity as its congregation diligently prepared for the momentous occasion, coordinating event logistics and crafting a feast to unite the community. The atmosphere brimmed with anticipation, reflecting the collective excitement for the milestone event.

The program commenced with a poignant baby dedication, a symbolic act representing new beginnings and divine blessings upon families. This touching ceremony, filled with joy and love, underscored the congregation’s faith in God’s guidance over the lives of the children being consecrated to Him.

Over the past two decades, the church’s journey has been characterized by abundant blessings, profound joy, and steadfast faith. This legacy was eloquently highlighted through a vibrant tambourine dance performed by the youth, showcasing the enduring transmission of spiritual fervor across generations.

The day’s pinnacle was the stirring sermon delivered by Rev. Greg Simpas, aptly titled “3G—Give God the Glory.” He underscored the vital importance of glorifying God in all endeavors, encapsulating the essence of his message in the “3G” principle. Drawing upon Matthew 4:8-9, he exhorted the congregation to honor God consistently, promising that such acts not only elevate Him but also invite His blessings into their lives.

Rev. Simpas further enriched his sermon with scriptural illustrations of individuals who failed to glorify God and faced grave consequences. He recounted the downfall of Lucifer, whose pride led to his expulsion; the scattering at the Tower of Babel, where human ambition clashed with divine will; and the fate of the rich fool in Luke 12:20, whose misplaced priorities resulted in his demise. These cautionary tales served as profound reminders to remain steadfast in faith and unwavering in giving glory to God, trusting that He will elevate those who honor Him.

The congregation, deeply moved by the sermon, departed the service with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to living for God’s glory. Rev. Simpas reiterated the truth that all blessings originate from God, emphasizing the necessity of acknowledging and glorifying Him in every facet of life.

The celebration culminated with a ceremony of recognition, where plaques of appreciation were bestowed to honor key figures in the ministry. Rev. Greg Simpas received commendation for his inspiring message, while Rev. Rosario Simpas, representing Rev. Peter and Rev. Christine Wee, presented a special plaque to Pastor Isaac and Rev. Annabel Mendoza in recognition of their two decades of unwavering service.

Despite facing leadership transitions, challenges, and adjustments within Evangel Florida, Rev. Annabel Mendoza testified to the immense blessings that their ministry enjoys today, attributing them to her steadfast commitment to glorifying God. She expressed heartfelt gratitude by honoring loyal church leaders with plaques, acknowledging their steadfast support and dedication.

The 20th anniversary celebration of Evangel Family Church Florida was a testament to faith, fellowship, and gratitude—a heartfelt tribute to two decades of God’s faithfulness and the enduring devotion of its leaders and members.

Special gratitude was also extended to Rev. Peter and Christine Wee for their unwavering support and prayers for the ministry.

To God be the glory!
