After almost four months of building, EFC Sto. Niño was finally dedicated last September 30, 2015 by Rev. Peter Wee. The Tribal Core Leaders, Pastors Mivelyn and Patricio Margate along with the Tribal Pastors were present during the celebration to rejoice with EFC-Sto. Nino’s Pastors Florante and Evangeline Latimbang and their members.
The 168 square meter lot was bought last March 23, 2015 for Php15, 000.00. Since that day, Pastor Florante and Pastor Evangeline cry their hearts out to God for the completion of their envisioned church project. They wanted a more beautiful sanctuary of worship. God answered their prayers through the generosity of EFC Singapore members, namely Bro. Allan Sarabia, Bro. Kelvin Gan, Sis. Candice Tan and Pastor Alan Yeo. Evangel Singapore was so kind to match the group’s giving dollar for dollar towards the building materials for this church, and now they are ready to build.
Not only that they gave, Bro. Allan, Bro. Kevin and Sis. Candice also came all the way to physically help in the construction last April 25-30, 2015. So touched by their act, Pastor Wee and Pastor Christine also extend a helping hand. Pastor Patricio Margate facilitated the purchase of all the materials. Some members from EFC Marahan also came to help EFC-Sto. Nino building construction. Pastor Florante, who is a carpenter himself, gave much of his time and skills. Though, there were some delays with the finishing touches due to bad weather, the construction team was always sunny as they joyfully carried on the task.
The church is made of cement and Hardiflex board that could stand the cold in the mountains. With 36×18 feet floor area, it has a seating capacity of 80 people. The remaining funds was used to buy chairs, Bibles and a beat box for the church use.
