“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” — Matthew 9:37–38
These words from Scripture came vividly to life as the JECPP Training Center for Mission (JTCM) joyfully celebrated the graduation of its second batch of mission trainees on January 19, 2025, at Luxebridge Hotel, Davao City.
Pastors, church members, parents, and ministry partners gathered with grateful hearts to witness what God had accomplished through nine months of intensive training—training those shaped lives, strengthened faith, and prepared willing servants to be sent into the harvest field.
The ceremony formally opened with a welcome address by Rev. Benjie S. Chavez, followed by an opening prayer led by Rev. Jetro M. Novero. The atmosphere was immediately lifted as the EFC Davao Praise and Worship Team led the congregation into a powerful time of worship, filling the hall with reverence, praise, and thanksgiving to God.
Three dedicated trainees—Tiffany Bless A. Sorsano, Robeyna Bana Balang, and Jayan Mendoza Asores—successfully completed the rigorous nine-month training program. The program was designed to equip them holistically, nurturing spiritual maturity, strengthening character, and preparing them for faithful service in ministry.
Their journey reflected perseverance, obedience, and a wholehearted response to God’s calling.
One of the most moving moments of the ceremony was the short message shared by outstanding student Tiffany Bless A. Sorsano. In her heartfelt testimony, she declared: “Kung ikaw gin tawag sang Ginoo, indi ka gid ka palagyo.” (“If God has called you, you cannot run away from it.” )
Her words resonated deeply with everyone present, serving as a powerful reminder that God’s call is both certain and purposeful.
The graduates further ministered through a special musical presentation entitled “The Mission.” Through this song, they beautifully expressed God’s heartbeat for the nations and the urgency of fulfilling His mission in the world today.
The Word of God was powerfully delivered by Rev. Tony Angelias with the message titled “A Life Given to Ministry Is Not Pitiful,” based on Acts 20:24:
“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me.”
Rev. Tony Angelias emphasized that a life devoted to God’s service is a life of honor, purpose, and eternal reward. He reminded the congregation that while ministry may involve sacrifice and hardship, every act of faithfulness carries eternal value. Ministry is not a loss—it is a divine investment.
He concluded with a powerful affirmation:
Ministry is not a pity calling. It is the highest calling. A life given to God is never wasted—it is powerful, honorable, and eternally rewarded.
The ceremony concluded with a prayer of dedication for the graduates led by Rev. Peter Wee, JECPP Senior Overseer. The event’s success was made possible through the collective efforts of many faithful servants working together.
Heartfelt gratitude was expressed to Rev. Peter Wee and Rev. Christine Wee for their unwavering support and leadership. Appreciation was also extended to Rev. Dr. Robert Lim, whose moral, financial, and spiritual support remains deeply felt even in his absence.
The JECPP Training Center for Mission (JTCM) remains steadfast in its commitment to train and equip believers who are willing to respond to the call of God. As the harvest continues to be plentiful, JTCM stands ready to send faithful laborers into the fields.
All glory, honor, and praise belong to God alone.
