Evangel Family Church Gensan joyfully celebrated its 20th Anniversary on November 16, 2025, embracing the theme “Himaya,” meaning Glory—a call to glorify Jesus Christ and thank Him for His goodness throughout the year.
The Phase 1 East Covered Court was filled with vibrant shades of green and bright, grateful smiles, reflecting the sweetness of God’s faithfulness. Excitement filled the atmosphere as EFC members, visitors, and family churches from Maasim, Polomolok, and Koronadal gathered for this special occasion. Honored guests Rev. Peter Wee and his wife, Rev. Christine Wee, also joined the celebration.
The event opened with heartfelt testimonies, prayers, and uplifting praise and worship, as every hand and voice rose in joyful thanksgiving. The highlight of the evening was the message from guest speaker Rev. Peter Wee, JECPP Senior Overseer and Southern Mindanao Regional Director. Drawing from Numbers 13:28–30, his sermon titled “Occupy God’s Promises” reminded everyone that faith is a gift from God. He encouraged the congregation to trust that every desire God plants in our hearts and every plan He writes for our lives is possible through Him.
After being nourished by the Word, the church family enjoyed a dinner fellowship filled with warm conversations and shared joy. The celebration continued with a festival variety show featuring songs, dances, and performances that strengthened the spirit of unity and fellowship.
This Thanksgiving celebration was a heartfelt offering to God for His goodness throughout the year and a reminder for everyone to keep walking by faith—with hearts full of himaya for the Lord.
