What once was a city considered as a backwater in the past, Roxas City, Capiz is now a thriving city bustling with business establishments like Robinson malls, Gaisano malls and supermarket,  a chain of 7/11 outlets, I-mart and Quix mart fast food outlets, two city mall branches, and a chain of resorts to boost tourism. The church is also seeing the development of Pueblo de Panay, a city within a city, where a chain of new and modern hotels are presently standing and being built, and not to mention the establishment of an extension campus of the University of the Philippines in the Visayas. The church is also seeing the migration of a community of Muslims, Badjaos, Tagalogs, Cebuanos, and foreigners seeking a place of retirement within its borders.

Pastor Bernard and Antonette de JesusEvangel Family Church Roxas City Capiz, was planted in March 29, 1999. The church is pastored by Pastor Bernard and Pastor Antonnette de Jesus, and gathers for worship on the 3rd Floor of L&P Dasas Building Plaridel Street. EFC-Roxas is strategically situated in the middle of a bustling commercial centre, surrounded by electronics shops, travel agencies, universities and colleges, malls, grocery stores, and public market. Since its inception, the church has seen the development of Roxas City and the entire province.

Since the face of the city is changing fast, EFC Roxas believes that carefully and patiently laying down the foundation of Discipleship is the key to reaching this developing and thriving city. The careful selection of those who sincerely want to follow Jesus, focusing all attention and energies to these people, is the present focus of EFC Roxas-City, even if it means one-on-one mentoring. EFC Roxas holds outstation works in Brgy. San Jose and Brgy. Nipa, and is also beefing up discipleship groups with students in boarding houses and homes.
