‘Let’s Plant Spirit Empowered Churches’
Since September of last year, upon the implementation of the Church Planting Movement, an aggressive church planting scheme that our very own founding chairman, Rev. Dr. Robert Lim has been advocating as of late...JECPP has astoundingly grown by leaps and bounds in the area of church planting. From a modest 417 churches as of Sept 9, 2010, to 578 churches spread across the entire Philippine archipelago as of the present! To God be the Glory!
It was in this light that the JECPP organization, saw the need for in-depth training on the CPM movement for the Panay church planters and their various workers. Well, it didn’t hurt...billeted in first class amenities at the El Grande Resort. It would always be a Grandiose’ experience as the saying goes...after all!
CPM Movement
So what was it all about?
After presenting studies and statistics coming from our Spiritual leaders...after the initial assessment and deliberations...they came to the ‘heart’ of CPM which is...the workers are in the harvest. The mobilization of lay leaders is the lifeblood of this movement, men & women who have the zeal for God. It’s a time-old stratagem come to life in our generation. Jesus Christ himself paving the way, by calling ordinary men and women from all walks of life...to plant His church.
In the Philippines alone with a population growth of 99,900,177 (July 2010 est.), covering 7,107 islands we see the dire need for the Gospel to be sown. Our only hope is in the harvest. It is a call that is fast resounding in the JECPP organization, as we see the day approaching. May we heed this most noblest of calling!
Rev. Dr. Robert Lim – Linked to a Supernatural God
After 26 years in missions, one thing stands true...His love for the Philippines. Till today, his vision is clear, his resolve strong and unwavering...his faith indomitable, that a country such as this can arise from the ashes...as we are all called, but of essence, linked to a supernatural God! Hallelujah!
Taking Up the Cause of the Needy
But first, we should take up the cause of the needy. Just as in Jesus time, the cry of the wilderness still beckons. Many are the multitudes still searching for salvation...and just as Jesus laid down his life to make a difference, and ignite a church planting movement that would revolutionize the entire world, so are we His body called to continue this legacy of self-sacrifice, to make a difference in our day and age. Many are the stories told of men and women who gave of their lives for His cause. Many too are the stories of Miracles, signs and wonders who follow those who believe. Let us be ready and willing in the day of His power!
We were all called at such a time and place as this...to make a stand...to make a difference!
Linked to a Supernatural God
We are all called foremost...to BLESS! It is when we take up the cudgels of His cause that His power can be revealed through us. And in so doing, through our faithful service, by God’s grace we can bring about healing, transformation, breaking of bondages...when we learn to bless! It is in blessing that Jesus Christ was able to feed the multitudes...and it is in blessing others, that we can build the Church of Christ! Hallelujah!
We are called to be bearers of God’s blessing to all around us...as we are co-heirs with Christ. It is of the same power we affect change and blessing, as we faithfully sow in prayers, service and worship to God. God will definitely honour our labour of love. This in effect is what the Church Planting Movement is all about. Our labour of love for the lost and hurting. That God’s light dawn upon them, through the Church of Christ...through you and I!
ECME Graduation
We witnessed ECME’S 17th Graduation ceremony, where 11 bible school students proudly marched down to receive their diplomas. Yet, all this is just the beginning as JECPP Chairman Pas. Chuck Chua reiterated. The path to ministry will lead to battles unseen, struggles unknown. Yet, victory is imminent through our Lord Jesus Christ, who has conquered the battle for us. We who are called, are to simply remain and believe for better things to come!
Barbeque Nite...
...and yet again we were treated to Pas. Lim’s famed chicken wings. It’s a known fact...every retreat or gathering wouldn’t be complete without it. So it made everyone’s day for sure! What with the added lechon, need we say more?!
Yet, at night’s end...camaraderie filled the air, and We were all one in spirit, one in accord, one in vision! May we continue in His service while it is still day!
