The Church Planting Movement has been gaining momentum after Pas. Lim’s recent Coreleaders’ meeting in Cebu. A revolutionary form of Church Planting, that has seen churches sprout to the thousands in mere months, a Jesus revolution that has the Gospel collectively brought to the multitudes, ushering a colossal revival of sorts.

For Panay region, whose targeted growth is to plant 259 by end of 2010, Pas. Jessie Yu was sent by Pas. Tohnee Lim as emissary cum instructor, for a 1 day CPM meeting to Barbaza, Antique.

The meeting kicked off at exactly 9:30 am and stretched until 11:30 pm. The whole morning was devoted to learning the universal elements of CPM while the afternoon was focused on learning the common elements and deadly sins of the CPM.

After dinner, the Antique Pastors deliberated the detailed planning and implementation of the CPM movement for the Antique section. With much encouragement and enthusiasm they untiringly mapped out the planting of cell churches. The meeting adjourned with the decision to plant 29 churches  in the months of October and November 2010.Thereafter,  questions on livelihood programs, fund raising, pastor’s community involvement and other related issues was discussed during the late night meetings.

With the strength and grace from God, we thanked Him that a renewed passion for church planting was somehow ignited in the hearts of the Antique pastors. May God’s spirit continue to move upon our Antique planters and may there be more lay leaders that will take up the challenge of church planting across the province!
