After 10 years of holding church services in a rented building near a busy cockpit area, EFC-Mati has finally settled in to their newly- built House of Worship.
Late last year, church members excitedly moved into the new church building which was completed through the financial help from JECPP’s loan, EFC-Davao and the faith pledges from members of our church.
Pastor Delia Miguel realized that the many problems they experienced in their former place only pushed them to a higher leap of faith in God’s favor and financial blessing. Increasing rental fees but refusing to do any renovations and other relationship problems in their old building spurred them to ask God for a brand new one.
After months of scouting for a new facility where they can rent as a church, they came up empty. Because of the progress of the city, rentals of commercial places within the center of the city has sky-rocketed. While the church has plans to purchase a multicab for her ministry, they decided that it might be wiser to invest instead in a lot where they can call their own. With the help of the members, they were able to find a 300 sq. meter lot near a city hospital in the center of Mati. The owner was the former Mayor who graciously lowered the selling price from P300,000.00 to only P100, 000.00 after learning that a church will be built there.
Seeing God’s amazing provision, they immediately applied for a loan worth P50,000. 00 from JECPP’s Development Fund. JECPP-Davao also contributed another P50,000.00 to fully pay for the lot. After purchasing this piece of land, EFC-Mati proceeded to build a new church building at the site with the help of EFC-Davao and JDF again. It is truly so amazing to know that God will never fail to provide for His people. Praise God for His unlimited resources!
